Degrees of WrongSummary/Synopsis
This time, the straight-and-narrow path could be the road to ruin. Dr. Elyse Morgan’s mission: find the cure to the HTN4 virus. The compensation, courtesy of the United Nations: a lab stocked with hi-tech goodies, limitless resources and enough chocolate to make her rear look like a cellulite farm. Bonus: she gets to live. Rescued (kidnapped) and secreted (imprisoned) on an undersea warship, Elyse adjusts to her assumed identity as a cadet with the finesse of a toeless ballerina. Her sulfuric temper and blatant insubordination capture the unwanted attention of the ship’s captain, the gorgeous, infuriating, engaged Nicoli Marek. Elyse would rather perform her own autopsy than become the other woman, but Nicoli—who’s as full of himself as he is of secrets—regards his impending marriage as a mere political transaction. And Elyse as fair game.
As Elyse’s suspicions about the UN’s true agenda mount along with her attraction to the relentless, chronically shirtless captain, she must choose between the murky path to everything she’s ever wanted, or the squeaky-clean path of self-sacrifice—which could mean taking the secrets of the virus with her to the grave.
Warning: Features a strong, chocolate-loving heroine who takes no prisoners on the way to saving the world from an epidemic and winning a captain’s heart.

What more can you ask for? Degrees of Wrong is one of the most fun novels I have ever read!

Elyse, the main character, is the wittiest person I have ever met. She's someone who you can relate to. She's someone you want as your best friend! Well, at least, I did. The girl has a chocolate addiction (trust me when I say it's an ADDICTION) which I'm pretty sure all of us suffer from. :D Nicoli, on the other hand, was someone who I had a complicated relationship with. I wanted to slap him ten fold and then give him a huge bear hug sometimes. Then we have Pretty Princess who is just a riot. This guy made my day with his stereotypical sergeantness.

What I truly love about Degrees of Wrong is that we do have a crisis on our hands here. The HTN4 virus AKA the Black Death (not to be confused with the Black Plague) that needs a cure to be found by Dr. Morgan (Elyse). It's not as heavy as you would think with what a virus could bring into the atmosphere. It's not one of those heavy novels but an engrossing tale that has all the elements I look for in a fun read!

All I know is that in Degrees of Wrong you have a plot driven remarkably by the characters, a betrayal that will make you want to slap someone, a captain who is gorgeous, amazing back stories, and a wise-cracking scientist trying to find a cure to a deadly virus. What more can you want?

INTERVIEW with Anna Scarlett

Of Poseidon was completely amazing and funny. What do you think your readers can expect in Degrees of Wrong?
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Readers of Degrees of Wrong should be prepared for lots of snark and sarcasm, a layer of humor, and insanely hot captain, a giant squid, chocolate, and a twist ending, as usual.
Your advice proved helpful! I love Eylse and Nicoli so much (sometimes I wanted to smack him) but WHY THE TWIST ENDING? *throws tantrum*

When do you think was the moment you decided "I'm going to be an author."?
I hate this question, because the answer makes me look like (or rather, exposes me as) a condescending troll, but it was right after I read the Twilight series. I decided that if those books could get published, then surely my books could get published. Oh geez, I hate how that sounds! I enjoyed reading Twilight, I just thought…Well, I just thought I could do it too.
I know what you mean. If someone else can do it then sure as heck I can too!

Favorite book?
Right now I’d have to say Divergent (although, I’m not really into Insurgent). Shadow and Bone is tied with Divergent, I think…
I STILL HAVEN'T READ SHADOW AND BONE so no comment.

Favorite color?
Straight up hooker red.
Dude. Your response made my day. I have never even heard of that!

The Hunger Games, Twilight, or Harry Potter?
The Hunger Games. Also, I wanted Gale to get the girl. I always pick the wrong guy!
ME TOO. TEAM GALE! *high five*
